Are you struggling to find joy in your life? Every day we encounter chaos and circumstances that can rob us from our joy. It is so important to inspire simple little pleasures in your everyday life.
These are a few affirmations and practices that help me “slow down to the speed of life”:
My breath is peaceful. I am calm and relaxed. I slow down. I shorten my to-do list.
I focus on one thing at a time. I turn off my phone and other devices for at least one hour each day.
I take refreshing breaks. I pause in between tasks to gather my thoughts and renew my energy. I sip a cup of tea or call a friend to share a funny story about something that happened.
I take time for reflection. I create a quiet space in my home. I sit down and focus on my breath. I notice my thoughts without making judgements.
I develop soothing hobbies to do anytime I need to reduce stress.
I write in my gratitude journal.
I do soothing exercises each day that relax me, uplift my mood, and help to keep me fit.
I spend time outdoors. I water vegetables and flowers in my garden or a community plot. I take walks on the beach or in my local park. I appreciate the beauty of nature. I feel like I am part of something greater than myself.
Today, I enjoy peace and contentment with each breath I take. My life is pleasant and satisfying. I feel happy and connected.
